Backorder Policy

At South Park Liquor, we strive to keep our inventory updated, but high demand or supplier delays may result in temporary stock shortages. If an item is unavailable, you can place a backorder to secure it, and we’ll fulfill it as soon as it’s restocked. If your order exceeds available stock, the remaining items will be backordered. By placing a backorder, you agree to the outlined terms.


1. What is a Backorder?

A backorder occurs when an item is temporarily out of stock but can still be purchased. If you place an order containing a backordered product, we will secure the item for you as soon as it becomes available. Additionally, if an item is in stock but your order exceeds the available quantity, a backorder will be placed for the remaining items.


2. Ordered In-Stock Items & Backorder

  • If you have placed an order and it contains both in-stock and backordered items, we will ship the in-stock items first, followed by the backordered items within 2-4 weeks.
  • As a courtesy, we will follow up with all of our customers to confirm whether they want the in-stock items shipped promptly or if they prefer to receive everything in one shipment.
  • There are no additional shipping charges if you want the in-stock items shipped promptly and the backordered items shipped separately within 2-4 weeks. The shipping cost you pay at checkout is the final cost, even if you choose to receive two separate shipments.

3. Shipping & Processing Times

  • In-Stock Items: Processed and shipped promptly, unless you want to receive the entire in-stock order and backorder at once. If you want the in-stock items to be shipped before the backorder items, please let us know at info@spliquor.ca or call us at 1-780-450-4868.
  • As a courtesy, we will follow up with all of our customers to confirm whether they want the in-stock items shipped promptly or if they prefer to receive everything in one shipment.
  • There are no additional shipping charges if you want the in-stock items shipped promptly and the backordered items shipped separately within 2-4 weeks. The shipping cost you pay at checkout is the final cost, even if you choose to receive two separate shipments.
  • Backordered Items: Shipped within 2-4 weeks.
  • If a backordered item is expected to take longer than 4 weeks, we will notify you via email with an updated estimated arrival time.

Please note: Shipping times may vary due to supplier delays, holidays, or unforeseen circumstances. It may take longer to ship to remote locations. It is best to check your tracking # provided by us to monitor the status of your shipment.


4. Order Splitting & Partial Shipments

  • If your order includes both in-stock and backordered items, we will ship the in-stock items first, followed by the backordered items within 2-4 weeks.
  • If you prefer to wait and receive everything in one shipment, please contact us at info@spliquor.ca or call 1-780-450-4868 after placing your order.

5. Payment for Backordered Items

  • Payment for backordered items is collected at the time of purchase to secure your order.
  • If the product becomes unavailable from our supplier, we will issue a full refund to your original payment method.

6. Cancellations & Modifications

  • Customers may cancel or modify backordered items by contacting info@spliquor.ca or calling us at 1-780-450-4868.
  • Once the backordered item has been shipped, our standard Return & Refund Policy applies.

7. Unexpected Delays & Communication

  • If a backordered item exceeds the estimated shipping timeframe, we will notify you via email.
  • Customers will have the option to:
    • Wait for the item to arrive as soon as it becomes available.
    • Request a refund for the backordered item.
    • Swap for an alternative product of equal or lesser value.

8. Refunds & Returns for Backorders

  • If a backordered item is canceled before shipping, a full refund will be processed.
  • If the backordered item has already shipped, our standard Return & Refund Policy applies.
  • In cases where we are unable to fulfill a backorder, a full refund will be issued automatically.

Customers can check their order status by:

  • Checking the order confirmation email received after purchase.
