Introduction:
Dirty Laundry Bordello is a rich and medium/full-bodied red wine blend that showcases the best of the Okanagan Valley’s terroir. With a harmonious combination of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, this Bordeaux-style wine offers an exceptional tasting experience with layers of dark fruit, spice, and earthy undertones.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Aromas of black currant, brandied cherries, fig, black cherry, and a subtle earthy cedar note.
Palate: The juicy palate delivers flavors of plum, raspberry, cedar, star anise, and sour cherry.
Finish: The wine is approachable with medium tannins, followed by a beautiful spice note on the finish.
Winemaker Notes:
The creation of Bordello requires patience and meticulous care. After two years of maturation in a blend of French and American oak, the winemakers hand-select the best barrels to craft this elegant blend. The wine is then aged for another year, resulting in a smooth, velvety Bordeaux-style red that captures the essence of the Okanagan’s finest grapes. This vintage is a blend of 68% Petit Verdot, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Merlot.
Food Pairings:
Pairs beautifully with an aged rib-eye steak and creamy mashed potatoes, grilled bison tenderloin, or a herb-crusted rack of lamb. Earthier vegetables such as roasted squash or eggplant with wild rice or black lentils are perfect complements, along with aged farmhouse-style cheeses or smoked cheeses that enhance the bold flavors of this wine.
