About the Liberty School Classic Cabernet Sauvignon 750 mL

Introduction:
Liberty School has been a go-to California Cabernet for decades, and the Classic Cabernet shows exactly why. Made by the Hope family in Paso Robles, it is crafted to be smooth, generous and easy to love from the very first sip. The grapes are fermented in small vineyard lots, then aged for 15 months in a mix of French and American oak, with only a small portion of new barrels so the fruit stays front and centre. It is the kind of everyday Cabernet that tastes like a special treat, at a price that makes it easy to keep a few bottles on hand.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: Dark cherry and ripe plum with pretty floral notes and a hint of vanilla.
Palate: Juicy and approachable, with ripe strawberry, warm baking spice, sandalwood and a touch of black pepper. Soft, smooth tannins make it easy to enjoy on its own or with food.
Finish: Smooth and inviting, with ripe fruit and a gentle touch of spice.

Pairings:
A natural match for steak night, burgers off the grill, pasta bolognese, pizza and roast meats. It also goes well with cheddar, roast chicken and weeknight comfort food. Serve slightly below room temperature for the best balance. A crowd-pleaser for casual get-togethers, weeknight dinners and stocking up your wine rack.
