About the Quest Cabernet Franc 750 mL

Introduction:
Quest is Austin Hope's adventurous Paso Robles red, and starting with the 2023 vintage it is made from 100% Cabernet Franc. Quest puts this often-overlooked grape in the spotlight. The fruit comes from warm, sunny vineyards in the Creston, Geneseo and San Juan Creek districts, where Cabernet Franc ripens fully while keeping its signature fresh, savoury character. The result is a smooth, expressive red that is a little different from your usual Cabernet, perfect for curious wine lovers looking for something new.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: Anise, warm chocolate and fresh mint, with dark berries and a hint of savoury herbs.
Palate: Layers of black fruit and dark chocolate, with earthy, leathery notes that add depth and character. Medium to full in body, it feels smooth and polished from start to finish.
Finish: Soft, fine tannins and a bright, fresh acidity that keeps every sip lively.

Pairings:
Excellent with herb-crusted lamb, pork tenderloin, roast chicken with rosemary or grilled sausages. It also pairs beautifully with mushroom risotto, ratatouille and goat or aged cheeses. Serve slightly cool, around 16 to 18°C, to show off its fresh, aromatic side. A great bottle to share with friends who love trying new wines.
