About the Chateau Batailley 750 mL

Introduction:
Château Batailley is a classic Pauillac red wine from Bordeaux's famed Left Bank, classified as a Fifth Growth in the historic 1855 Classification. Owned by the Castéja family, this Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant blend is known for its traditional style, firm structure, and excellent value, offering a refined expression of Pauillac with remarkable aging potential.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: Aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum complemented by notes of cedar, tobacco leaf, graphite, and subtle vanilla.
Palate: Medium- to full-bodied and structured, featuring layers of dark fruit, cassis, and savoury spice supported by firm, well-integrated tannins and fresh acidity.
Finish: Long and elegant, with lingering notes of blackcurrant, cedar, and toasted oak.

Pairings:
Pairs beautifully with prime rib, roasted lamb, or grilled ribeye steak. It also complements duck confit, beef Wellington, and aged cheeses like Comté and aged Gouda for a truly classic Bordeaux experience.
