Saint Lucia Chairman's Reserve The Forgotten Casks Rum 750 mL

Introduction:
Chairman’s Reserve The Forgotten Casks Rum is a rare, extra-aged sipping rum that honors the unexpected discovery of misplaced casks following the 2007 fire at St. Lucia Distillers. These older barrels contained rum too mature for the original Chairman’s Reserve blend, leading to the creation of this limited-edition release, celebrated for its depth, complexity, and refined character.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Sweet raisins, cigar tobacco, amber honey, and vanilla, creating an inviting aroma.
• Palate: Rich and warm, featuring grilled tropical fruit, candied walnuts, and soft spices.
• Finish: Long and smooth, with layers of lingering spice and a touch of oak-aged elegance.

Winemaker’s Notes:
Crafted from a blend of Coffey and pot still rums, this expression is aged between six and eleven years in ex-bourbon barrels before being rested in oak vats for an additional six months. The result is a well-rounded, complex spirit with a luxuriously smooth finish.

Pairings:
Best enjoyed neat or on the rocks to fully appreciate its aged complexity. It also pairs beautifully with dark chocolate, spiced desserts, or a fine cigar, making it a true connoisseur’s choice.
