About the Treana Red Blend 750 mL

Introduction:
Treana Red is the flagship blend of Hope Family Wines and one of the signature reds of Paso Robles. The family first crafted Treana in 1996 to capture the best of their region, and it has been a favourite ever since. This vintage brings together about 75% Cabernet Sauvignon for structure and dark fruit and 25% Syrah for lush texture and spice. Each variety is aged separately in French oak before the final blend spends more time in new French barrels, for 22 months of aging in total. The result is a rich, polished red that tastes far beyond its price.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: Plum, black cherry and fresh blackberry, lifted by a touch of violet and a hint of sweet oak.
Palate: Generous and lush, with blueberry preserves, fig jam and warm baking spices. Firm, well-built tannins give the wine shape, while the Syrah adds a round, velvety mouthfeel.
Finish: Long and satisfying, with dark fruit and spice that linger well after each sip.

Pairings:
Wonderful with grilled lamb chops, beef short ribs, peppercorn steak or slow-cooked brisket. It also pairs beautifully with mushroom risotto, wild mushroom pasta and hard cheeses like aged gouda or manchego. Decant for 30 to 45 minutes to let the aromas open up. A great choice for dinner parties, holiday tables and anyone looking for a serious red to share.
