About the Glenmorangie The Nectar 16 Years Old Single Malt Whisky 750 mL

Introduction:
Glenmorangie The Nectar 16 Years Old Single Malt Whisky is a luxurious Highland single malt that exemplifies refined complexity and elegance. Matured initially in bourbon casks and then finished for an extended period in carefully selected sweet white wine casks — including those formerly housing Sauternes, Monbazillac, Moscatel and Tokaji — this whisky brings a dessert-like richness and subtle sophistication to each sip.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: A rich and indulgent bouquet, featuring aromas of baked apricot, vanilla pudding, toasted almond, chestnuts, warm brioche and hints of chocolate truffle.

  • Palate: Smooth and unctuous in texture, with sweet vanilla crème anglaise, baked apricot, warm raisin bread, roasting chestnuts, lemon zest, nutmeg and star anise layered over a gentle oak backbone.

  • Finish: Long and lingering, with touches of honeycomb, lemon rind and baking bread echoing softly after the sip.

Pairings:
Best enjoyed neat or with a drop of water to open its aromas. Ideal after dinner alongside dark chocolate, almond biscotti or a rich crème brûlée for a truly decadent experience.
